The 2023 Crypto Summer Lab (CSL), jointly sponsored by Lightspeed and Polychain, is focused on accelerating Web3/Blockchain teams, projects and startups regardless of stage. A hybrid program, we plan to bring up to 10 teams together this summer to collaborate with professors, crypto experts as well as VCs from Lightspeed and Polychain on new ideas in crypto.

CSL is FREE for all participants. All lectures, facilities and other resources are provided at no cost.
Applications Due: April 30th (Extended). Acceptance Notification: first week of May 2023. Program Kickoff (tentative): May 22nd 2023.
The program will focus on applied cryptography, infrastructure systems, DeFi, security, gaming and related domains. We will also help you with your business model and help think through your next fundraise.
The 2023 CSL is a hybrid event; your team can participate remotely except for the kickoff week (start) and the demo day week (conclusion) of the event. For the start and conclusion of CSL, you are expected to participate in person in Austin, TX. Housing will be provided these weeks.
Our instructors include: professors from The University of Texas, Austin; domain experts within the crypto community (from Austin and other parts of the world); top devs/programmers in solidity and rust; business strategy and fundraising experts from Lightspeed and Polychain.
CSL is open to all participants, you need not be a registered student to apply.
Yes, all applications must be from teams, and teams must include at least one technical team member (coder/engineer). Only developer/coders/engineers can apply as individuals (singleton teams).
Although having an idea in mind is strongly encouraged, an idea/product is not required to apply.
We are stage-agnostic, and all teams will be considered regardless of stage.
